We loved it! The people were genuinely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. A little small but perfect for our shorter stay. The location was really good and the price was very reasonable. Nice continental breakfast with the best fluffy waffles in a very cheerful atmosphere. ( I love that the t.v. In the dining area was turned down to where I couldn’t really hear it. I hate listening to loud obnoxious news when I’m relaxing on vacation). I will definitely return more than once since we live fairly close. We came from nearby to enjoy the hot springs, breakfast and dinner. Had breakfast at a longtime favorite, Cafe Colorado. We ate dinner a few miles away at Gustosos Italian restaurant and had a great meal! Would definitely go back. Reasonably priced and great foo

We stayed here for the location and the fact that a last minute trip did not give us many options. Stayed in a comfort room. I think they probably do the best they can given the fact that it’s an old motel. But the room smelled of a string citrus when we checked in. Opened the windows to air out. We skied all day and came back to a room that smelled moldy so I suspect they use the spray to cover the smell. Wish I had not closed the window! ||The mattress was comfortable but the bedding is very worn and smelled old. Pillows were equally bad. ||The heat also kicks on loudly at night and wakes you up. Very clean basic motel room. Well cared for nicely decorated clean building and a simple included breakfast in a cute cafe like space. I enjoyed the many beautiful framed prints in the hallway highlighting the gorgeous scenery in and around Pagosa Springs.

Decided to stay here because of the reviews. Mistake. Let me start with the good. The gal that checked us in was helpful and pleasant. Now, the bed… I invite the management to go into room 216 with a cup of coffee. Sit down on each side of the bed and listen to the noise! The mattress squeaks like crazy. After you sit down, feel the sheets. They are literally paper thin and like sandpaper. Now look at the corner of the bed. Look at ill fitting the sheet is. It’s already coming off the corner. Next, feel the blanket. Oh wait. There isn’t one. After all that, sit down on the bed with your coffee like you’re watching the news in bed.
