Rivernook Campground

Great camping location right on the Kern River. My one complaint is the free Wi-Fi sucks. You have to literally be right next to the office to even see the network listed to be able to connect to it, and if you get any distance away from the office, ie. your campsite, you lose the connection.

My wife and I had a permanent spot in the campground for over ten years. God, we really miss it. We fished and biked to the river or just sat around the campfire. It was a long drive from camp, but we loved going to eat the famous porterhouse steak and mudpie desert. Yes, we really do miss it. Its only 13 hours from where we are now I think its a plan.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Roomy campground. Plenty of space. Amazing views. PARADISE. I could not ask for more. The staff was amazing and friendly. They helped us find our campground very easily, and the all-around experience was great, with full campsite hookups and an amazing time.

We were really looking forward to our trip, but unfortunately, this campground fell short in a big way. The staff was surprisingly rude and unhelpful from the moment we arrived. We asked to move sites to be closer to our friends—something that seemed reasonable, especially since there were clearly plenty of open spots all week. They flat-out refused and acted like we were asking for something outrageous. To make matters worse, we saw another family get moved not once, but four different times during their stay. So apparently the rules are flexible, but only for certain people. It felt really unfair and made our experience frustrating instead of relaxing. Between the staff’s attitude and the inconsistent treatment of guests, we won’t be coming back—and we won’t be recommending this place

Had a great time here. only issue is that the electricity went out for like 12 hours and that made the showers break so we couldnt shower the first night Otherwise super beautiful, camped in my Model Y juniper Also did some running outside the camp, was fun
