Rivergate Mountain Lodge

We DID NOT book third party. I personally called the lodge to make the reservation and was assured it would be a handicap accessible room. It was NOT! This was our vacation, 6 days in Pigeon Forge, TN and the hotel was abysmal at best. Problems included but not limited too:|* When we first got in the room (around 2PM), there was an offensive odor. Upon investigating, the "maid" apparently did not take out the garbage bag. Inside was a Coke can and some very nasty cigarette butts and ashes. It was disgusting!! I called the number used to send me the code to get in and was informed by whomever that the "maid" must have missed that bag. I was assured the "maid" would be right over to get it. Before we booked this hotel, we reach out to make sure the room was handicap accessible even emailed them again to make sure there were bars in the bathrooms. The response to both questions was yes. This bathroom is definitely not handicap accessible, the toilet and the tub on top of each other and there was only one bar at the front of the shower. The toilet was very tiny and very low to the ground absolutely no bars in the bathroom by the toilet.

On a quiet back road next to go kart tracks and the pirates attraction. You can't hear any outside noise from the room. Clean rooms, great hosts and homey. The pool is not on site, so you have to drive about 7 miles to get to it.

We booked the hotel through Air BnB. The room was fantastic. The price was great. The location was fantastic. Only a couple miles away from Dollywood and in the middle of numerous attractions in Pigeon Forge, I am not sure how much more someone can want out of a place. The only thing that I was confused about, considering my original perception was it’s a hotel, was there’s no on site staff. Check-in is self check in through door key pad and the staff is available by phone call. Not a problem, just unexpected.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We LOVED this sweet quaint lodge. Yes the go cart tracks worried us but we couldn’t even hear them in the room. The room was the cleanest room we have ever stayed in. Smelled clean, looked clean and felt clean. Beautiful view out back. We could easily walk to the Mill and it was so nice. The breakfast voucher for Reagan’s Pancake House was so great! We enjoyed it 2 mornings. We will definitely be back. Only thing I’d like to see different is having a vending machine with late night snacks.
