Stayed in the RV area.. grassy, roomy, clean and quiet. Staff was great and food at the black bear tavern across the road was delicious. Cute little town with plenty of shops to explore . Highly recommend. Full hookups for $50 a night.

We booked a room for a weekend of hunting, and after reading the reviews here, was a bit nervous. But the room was nice, great hot water in the shower (yes, bathroom is a bit small, its a roadside motel, not the Ritz), fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and flat screen TV with cable. There is free WiFi in the rooms and in the restaurant. The beds are all new, and the mattress was the most comfortable I've slept on in years, better than my own at home.||||The restaurant was also surprisingly good. Friendly waitstaff and bartenders, TVs everywhere to watch the games, good beer selection. I had the Bear Den burger for lunch two days in a row, it was *that* good. Prices are reasonable for the portion and quality.||||I will definitely stay here again, next time through Colebrook.

Rick and his staff made our experience there wonderful. The attention to detail for our conference was over and above. Tricia who oversaw our events and Diane in the Black Bear Tavern were great. I can’t say enough good things about the food. Everyone’ who attended our event was very happy with everything the chef made for us .Thank you all very much!!

We had such a great experience, the staff is amazing so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless. The restaurant has awesome food and they are now serving breakfast! The location is idea for hoping right on the trails. Overall we had an awesome time at this place and will definitely be back!

I paid $60 plus $9 tax for an old motel room that had been repainted and a re-done bathroom. They said there was Wi-Fi, but there is none in the rooms. There is a shortage of electrical outlets in the room. Hard to control the water temp in the shower. Toilet is very nice if you're a little kid. Shower head is lame. If you have a problem before 8:30 am or after 9:00 pm you're out of luck. I assume I met the owner who has a cold, uninviting demeanor. I would not stay here again no matter the price.
