Diamond Peaks Motel and Store

Stayed one night here while attending a funeral. This place is a combination motel (12 units with parking right in front of the units), gas station, convenience store, and diner. Upon arrival on a Sunday evening, they were out of gas, but not a problem for us. Their dining room also doesn't open until Memorial weekend. The location is right at access for snowmobile/atv trails, and it appears that the motel focuses on these groups. My room was the only one with a queen bed, all the others have 2 doubles. The carpet was in very rough shape-lots of stains and felt sticky on bare feet, so I made sure to wear shoes/slippers at all times. The décor is serviceable and room was clean. Our travels today took us by this little store. It was well passed lunch. We were starving. We stopped here. There were several menu options. The food was ordered at the window, prepared freshh and passed out to you. I had the chicken salad sandwich. My husband had the turkey club. The sandwiches were huge! We also ordered french fries. These fries were freshly cut and fried. They were delicious! We ate our food in our car. It felt so quaint!!!! Be on the lookout for this food spot. Stop in and have sonething. You won't regret it...I promise!

Do not go here! From the moment we walked in, the woman working there was rude and short with us. Every question we asked felt like it annoyed her. We came in to buy an OH RV sticker for our UTV ride and were ready to spend money on fuel, food, and more. She asked if we wanted to purchase a club membership, and when we asked what it included, she wouldn’t even answer. When our second group stepped up to get their permit, she abruptly stopped and said she had to “take other people first.” I told her that was rude, and her response was basically “oh well.” She even told my husband that if I didn’t leave, she wouldn’t give him his permit. Didn't stay at the motel, but we come there for gas each morning before heading out on the trails. Staff is friendly, decent amount of items you'd expect to see in a small town gas station/convenience store.

Visited the store. Will be back alot. Awesome food!!
