We stayed in Cabin 7, which has a handicap accessible ramp, for 2 nights in February. We did not realize that there was a "Snowbird" discount running when we booked thru Reserve America and so we paid full price for each night. Before arriving I got an email receipt refunding the overage because the kind people who run this campground took the time to discount our stay. I would never have even known that we "overpaid". The reservation site lists the cabin as max 6 but it would be cramped with that many people. It was, however, very comfortable for my husband and I, and I can imagine 2 more people. When we arrived, the cabin was clean but dusty, and smelled of raw cut wood. There was some spray foam insulation visible in a few places and the boards were clearly put up with a nail gun but i

Camping at the primitive sites is very nice. You park along side the road and have a decent walk down to the sites. We brought a wheel barrow to make bringing coolers and gear easier. The sites are just a fire ring placed in the woods with ground around to pitch a tent. My family enjoyed camping here and would recommend it to anyone who is not afraid of primitive camping. I would love to see them expand this site of the campground and add more sites and widening the trail to a gravel drive to get down to the sites. This is a beautiful park and we loved the scenery that’s very unique for southern GA.

This was our first time here, and it was nice because it was so close to home. I think our total drive time was about an hour and 20 minutes. It's unusual in that it's currently very small, with only 6 RV spots that are split 3 on each end of 6 cabins they rent at the park. The cabins reportedly do not have bathrooms, but they do have AC and heat. Very basic. The grandkids were with us and said the bath house wasn't very clean, but I never looked myself, so it could be fine. We were in site 10, and sites 11 and 12 are very close. We had plenty of room, and there was a little "12' x 3' privacy fence" between the back of our camper and site 11, so it just seemed more awkward for them because they were a little behind us but very close. I shouldn't overstate that, though. We barely saw them,

We were here for Christmas time. It was quite, clean, serene, and Mary in the fro t office was very informative. We had questions about the trails, fishing, and more. She was patient and helpful. We showered on the campgrounds and it was clean. We'll be back.

I don't have much to compare to since this was our first "camping" trip. I was a little skeptical at first. BUT the Shoal Bass cabin was perfect. My family and I are very happy with a bed, ac, and hot showers. The showers were great and not too far. They DO have a coffee maker, microwave, and small fridge. Coffee is a necessity for us! And plenty of power outlets for our chargers. It wasn't crowded, just us, 1 more cabin and 2 rvs. Everyone was very nice! Very clean. We grilled on the grill and made smores in fire pit. My family is diverse and we never felt out of place (if ya know, ya know). Also, I have dog that doesn't like other dogs and she was very relaxed here. Makes me feel more comfortable to get her out more often to socialize.
