River Campground

Okay for a night's stay. The river campground has only 2 porta potty toilets, tables and water spouts about. However the water, at least at the time I went should not be for drank unless boiled first. There are showers for a fee but these are at by the reservoir which is a drive or decent hike away from these sites. There are powerlines around because this spot is nearby the Lahontan Dam and hydroelectric power station. There is an interpretive trail lined with stones that goes up in the nearby hills and to a nice view of the dam. In September, the reservoir was mostly drained, but in season, there is a creek that goes near the campsights here. Some wildlife in the area I spotted were tiny adorable lizards and squirrels and a variety of birds including blue birds, crickets, and what looked

Convenient one night stop. Quiet, peaceful. Beautiful night sky. Outhouses need maintenance.

Nice little campground. Off the main road approximately 5 min. Has 7 campsites each containing a picnic table, fire ring, and place to park your vehicle. $25 per night.

Stayed here one night some 30 years ago. We were the only people in the campground. A bit barren, but it's in the middle of a near desert

It was alright up there but the public bathrooms were sick and almost all the way to the top they need somebody to clean up the to toilets there
