Rising Star Casino Resort - Rising Sun

We spent the weekend February 7th 2026. We had a blast! First time staying in The Lodge. I have to say our room was very nice and clean! Bed was very comfortable. Show was fun and food delicious. Enjoyed drinks and good times in the Casino! Thank you Rising Star❤️

Location, good.Atmosphere,nicely decorated. I had a smoking room, didnt expect it to be grest.It was awful.Coffee pot had old pods in it, 3 lights, one didnt work well, not lughtbulb, the switch was loose,I bar of soap for bathroom.Bed was comfortable, a few pillow cases looked dirty.2 towels in bathroom, 1 looked used.Bathroom sink was not clean.Front staff,except for 2, we're very unfriendly. Don't answer phone after 5, or on weekends.No valet, although it was advertised.Carpet was filthy.No morning breakfast in hotel For over 100 a night, very poor quality. And, not hotel, but no food available in casino..1 restaurant with a very limited menu in casino lobby. Sooo bad, after being sooo good. Idk what happened. 1 bar in casino lobby, 10 tvs, no one there, dont think it was open! I advis

My husband and I enjoy our stay at the casino hotel/the lodge. My in laws are regulars and wanted us to experience the casino and the overall experience. I enjoy the pool area and appreciate the vintage vibe to it as well. Although the steam room needs maintenance, it's kid friendly and the Christmas decorations were really awesome, the casino itself is a good experience and staff is always very friendly and helpful as well! The bistro is usually a good experience but I encountered a rude employee there(late at night) last night, otherwise overall experience is positive and we look forward to coming again!

Alot of the slot games are older. Limited card tables. Mainly blackjack tables. The christmas casino part isnt as decorated as it used to be. No buffet anymore. No longer include breakfast with a room. $14.95 a person for breakfast now. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I love staying here, but....... the hotel is in dire need of rehab. Other than that I give it 10 stars. I love the style of the hotel. I love the environment and atmosphere inside the hotel through to the casinos. If you stay more than a day you ready need to explore the towns around the hotel OR you can golf or take a ferry ride. I live 2 hrs away but try to go there as often as I can. The casino is not bad at all either.
