Rio Motel and Suites

Checked in, which was our first mistake. The room had a strong Lysol odor. The bed had what looked like blood stains. Reported to management. They changed our room. This room looked much better but when I opened the closet to put snacks in a roach ran. I lifted the shelf liner and it was full of what looked like coffee grounds! I looked up roach poop and that was the exact description! Went to management again and told her we can't stay here. We want a refund. She said I can't refund you because you already checked in!! I've had so much anxiety over this i can't sleep. We left she said she would give us the 2nd night back. I've yet to receive and email that she refunded us. DO NOT STAY HERE. The room was $463. Went with this one because it seems to be the only reasonably priced unit for one night with decent reviews. All around good experience for a room with a view of the beach/water from the balcony. Close enough to the action but far enough for a quiet night's sleep. Rooms and parking are small, and the $10 fee to park where I booked was a fun little surprise, but oh well. The place has everything you need and nothing you don't.

The stove worked. The place was flithly. The walls were stained, the white trim was stained. The beds only had flat sheets on them so if you moved while sleeping you end up on stained matress protector. The beds had different blankets, that were different sizes. The floor needed sweeping. The A/C was PACKED full of dust.  The kitchenette only had 1 real coffee cup. No paper towels or dish soap. There are more units than available parking spots. There's trash in the parking lot and under the stairs. As the week went on the dirty laundry stacked up in the stairwell up to our room. When we checked in she added $10 to the pet fee because of our "Extra large" dogs. Nothing in the documentation stated there was an additional fee for this, bringfido, their website or priceline that I used to book

The staff was amazing. My room was clean and had everything I needed. I saved so much money with the kitchenette and the grocery store was walking distance. The biggest fridge that I've had yet this season. My two sons loved it!

Small and very clean motel, under new management. Very convenient location, we had the advantage of enjoying the view of the boardwalk and the beach directly from from our room (but also viewable from the porch) The owners are very responsive and always around, very accommodating, striving to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Everything was as described. We took advantage of the outdoor shower to wash the sand off of our feet and the kitchenette to prepare our meals. Well stocked with pots, coffee maker, full size refrigerator, toaster, utensils. Wall A/C in our room.
