Residence Inn by Marriott Valencia

I stayed at the Residence Inn in Valencia, California, and I absolutely have to recognize Danielle for her outstanding service. When I arrived, the hotel’s system was temporarily down, which could have meant a long wait or a complicated check-in—but not with Danielle on the job.||She stayed calm, positive, and incredibly resourceful, using creative workarounds to get me checked in and into my room quickly. She communicated clearly, kept everyone updated, and handled the situation with professionalism and a cheerful attitude that immediately made me feel taken care of.||It’s rare to see someone stay that friendly and efficient under pressure. Positive: The room had more amenities then most hotels. The garage parking was a plus Negative: The hotel lacked any experience on handling a situation that I had in the hotel room. There was a serious leak on the kitchen floor causing me to slip. The GM was callus regarding the situation and was aggressive towards me. I will contact corp.

Terrible experience at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Valencia. I called the hotel on Monday before my arrival to confirm that my reservation (originally for 3 guests through Expedia) could be updated to 4 guests, and they clearly said there would be no problem or extra charge. However, when we arrived, the front desk said there were no rooms available with two beds, no rollaway beds, and that they couldn’t do anything to help — only offer a refund even though it was already late at night and we had nowhere to go. We were left with a single king bed for four people after driving hours to get there. The staff showed no empathy or effort to find a real solution. Extremely disappointing service from a Marriott property. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

I spent 2 months at the Residence Inn and the staff made it feel like home. The hotel is accessible right off the highway and parking is easy. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable for an extended stay.

Staff are very kind, with servant’s hearts. They said hello and good morning in the hallways and handled my requests with ease at the front desk. ||The energy efficient room, however, leaves only trickles of water in the sink and shower.
