Residence Inn by Marriott Saratoga Springs

Stayed here for a few months during a work project and my overal experience was very good. The staff was always friendly as well as the housekeepers very polite and willing to assist with anything needed. I enjoyed being able to have a full stove in the room to assist in meal prep. The rooms are a large enough size to not feel cramped and the beds are cozy. There's plenty of parking and the hotel is in a secure clean location. Complimentary breakfast was nice and I had no complaints regarding it. Overal quiet atmosphere and the ability to relax was available. Only difficulty I had was access to the building itself from the main road. There is only one entrance/exit road on Excelsior Avenue which limits in and out access. But to be honest it is not a huge issue. Great hotel and I would glad

2nd time staying at this hotel This time we were in a newly remodeled room which was very clean. The only issue with the new remodel with our room is that the shower hot/cold is opposite so hot is cold and cold is hot making the water pressure for hot or warm very low. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Came here for one night when we first entered our room we had realized they had not given us the room we had originally prayed for, small mixup and was fixed. When we had entered our new room we had smelt a bit of smoke like we were in the city.. not very pleasant. As the night progressed things got worse and worse the toilets did not flush, there was already trash in the trash cans, and we noticed stains on the chairs and on the beds, I mean who would want to sleep on something that had not been cleaned? We were tired from traveling all day so just went to bed without complaints. The next morning we had breakfast and the orange juice was very stale tasting. And then we went out to the pool area to do what we wanted to do when we booked this place, use the hot tub and to our surprise there

We had stayed here a few times, as late as 2 years ago, and it was just fine. Not anymore. First they don't warn you when you book that the whole hotel is under renovations. The entire 3rd and 4th floors are closed. Worse, the renovations are 7AM - 3:30PM. What kind of schedule is that to have renovations in an active hotel? Even worse, when we got here at 7PM the back door latch had been taped open by the workers, who had long since gone home. This is a serious security problem; anyone at all could have walked in at any hour. (I removed the tape myself.) The nice but passive staff didn't realize the seriousness of that, and also had no clue where the renovations were the next day so didn't know where to put us to avoid the noise. Positive: super staff and great location. The night front desk coworker was patient, pleasant and helpful. He deserves 5 stars. Negative: Room was old, run down and dirty.
