Residence Inn by Marriott Rapid City

Everything was great! Full hot breakfast, nice clean rooms, very comfortable bed. Nice layout suite for a family with children. I like that there was a smaller amount of tables and such that Littles can fall and hit themselves on. Room had lots of room to stretch. Lobby was beautiful. Staff were super nice. The water park was a fun bonus for the kids! Definitely will stay again at some point.

Disappointing experience.. They gave me connecting room, when I asked for switch they told that EVERY STUDIO IS CONNECTING. When I told them as I solo traveller I don’t wish to listen other families/ kids next door they told SOLO TRAVEL VERY RARE, THEY ARE FOR FAMILIES. I was just laughing.. then I asked them to upgrade send I am titanium elite with Mariott they refused because I booed on third party. Yes right, why do you sell for less on third party? The morning I raised my concern to the manager, she was extremely rude. Not going to return. They charge for parking and breakfast was very poor too. Whole breakfast area smelled really bad. Absolutely a skip next time.

Positive: The set up of the hotel rooms. I enjoyed having some separation/dividers within the room to have my own personal space. Negative: The back parking was more convenient than the front with limited space.

Just stayed for a couple nights and I really like this hotel. King bed suite with fridge and microwave and glasses and a sink and a great TV with streaming options and a good connection. They have a little bar area (Slider's) where you can get food and a drink, just a short walk through the hotel to the Watiki swimming area inside. Everybody was very nice and I'll definitely come back here. Highly recommended. And the thermostat in the room was easy to operate and worked accurately. Not always the case in hotels.

This place has so much potential, but they have a housekeeping problem. The first room we checked in was gross. The next room was better but still not that clean. Gum on floor, big stains, makeup and hair everywhere. The staff we encountered were friendly overall but for cost per night I’d expect better. DEEP CLEAN this place. It doesn’t matter what you do with the housekeeping tab for the room door, they didn’t come in any of the 4 days. I took the garbages out and when I called for towels they wouldn’t even bring them up(2 people working the front desk). They did however have cards asking for tips in the room, par for the course most places these days. Waterpark was a good time, my kids loved it.
