Residence Inn by Marriott Pleasant Hill Concord

I travel to the U.S. often, and this hotel has become one of my favorites. Tracy made this stay especially great with her warm and welcoming attitude. Julia P. and the breakfast team always start the day on a positive note.||I love having a kitchen to cook in plus a good breakfast every morning. The location is also excellent—shopping and malls are nearby, and food delivery is easy.||Rooms are spacious (big by European standards), the water pressure is good, and the tap water is drinkable, which was a nice surprise. You may hear a bit of highway noise in some rooms, likely because some of the trees that used to block the sound are gone, but it’s manageable.||Overall, a reliable, comfortable, and friendly hotel that I always enjoy returning to—whether traveling solo or with family.

So for someone that frequently travels to the US on business and pleasure, I have to say that this hotel is one of those that I love to regularly book! Shout out to Tracy who made this stay pleasant and her smile and demeanour for an exhausted traveler such as myself was very well welcomed. Very convenient location close to Sunvalley shopping mall, grocery stores (two Safeways), family entertainment like Six Flags Hurricane Water Park. Also saw the 4th of July parade in downtown Pleasant Hill. My only complaint is the hotel’s parking lot was re-paved for two days when we stayed. there were limited and no parking spaces on the premises so we had to park quite far from the hotel and walk back with luggage and groceries. We were charged US$10 per day to use the hotels parking lot but I felt we shouldn’t have been charged the two days we could not park our car at the hotel’s parking lot due to it being under construction and road was re-paved.

We stayed in a studio room as a family of 4 during our vacation and had a very good experience overall. The hotel is in a great, quiet location with plenty of restaurants and shopping options nearby, and the neighborhood feels safe and pleasant. The room itself was nice, spacious, and very clean, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and satisfying. We also appreciated the on-site laundry facilities, which were convenient during our stay, and the poolside grilling option was a fun bonus for families. The only issue we faced was with housekeeping—service is scheduled every other day, but unfortunately, our room was skipped on the day it was due. Aside from that, everything else went smoothly.
