Residence Inn by Marriott New Haven Hamden

Stayed here for one night as the driver of an athletic team. This property is by far one of the nicest that I have ever stayed at with any team in all of my 10 years driving teams & groups! It is a new built property that Marriott did a fantastic job building. Didn’t cut corners and used a great building contractor. The suites were fully furnished for a short or long term stay. The bed was very comfortable as were the linens. The bathroom was perfectly designed in every way and towels were of great quality. A nice 65” tv in the bedroom and LR area that offered all streaming services. For anyone visiting Quinnipiac University, this is the perfect choice with a great location! Kudos to Marriott on this property!

Had a fire at our place in February and we were in desperate need to find a place to stay and we had other choices and places we've stayed before in the area but we decided to stay here. It was the best decision we made during the whole process they had very clean rooms,great staff,and plenty of amenities. I would recommend them to anyone and tell them that they are the best place in the area to stay. They were also very kind to my family and very considerate for any needs we have because we had our dog lola with us.They were exceptional and I appreciate everything that they did for us. Please give them a try you will not be disappointed.

Beware – Roaches in 215 🪳 Locals displaced due to frozen pipes. We usually stay up I-95 at local hotels, but chose this property based on a family recommendation so we could remain close to work and school. While the property itself is nice and the pool was enjoyable, the room had a noticeable sewer-like odor. The bigger issue, however, was bugs. Upon exiting the shower, I found a large roach in the bathroom. Later, around 2:00 a.m., I encountered two more roaches in the bathroom, along with a dead roach inside the linen bag in the closet. When this was reported to the front desk at 2:00 a.m., the response was simply, “Oh wow.” We were offered another room, but when I asked whether that room also had bugs, I was told, “Ma’am, I don’t know what’s in the rooms.” Being expected to pack up

Positive: Location, cleanliness, cost. Negative: The beds are too soft. I wake up feeling hungover after a 8 - 10 hour sleep.

I usually stay at Hilton in orange ct and they cancelled my room as I arrived I was so upset. Residence inn took care of me. The front desk gentleman unloaded all my bags from my car took everything to my room and unloaded it while I was parking my car and it was around 4am I was exhausted from the drive coming from Ohio to CT. All the staff were so kind to me. I will definitely be back the room was so clean and comfortable. It was quiet and the bed was so amazing. I will 100% make this my new home away from home when I’m in CT.
