Residence Inn by Marriott Glenwood Springs

There are definitely some positives to highlight about this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained—easily one of the better aspects of my stay. I also appreciated the fire pit area, which was a relaxing touch and a nice place to unwind in the evening.||However, despite these highlights, I will not be returning for a couple of reasons. First, the breakfast area showed a lack of attention and care. The flimsy paper plates, dirty counters, and empty coffee pots made for a disappointing experience that didn’t match the quality of the rooms.||But most importantly, I was surprised—and frankly frustrated—to discover a $15 parking fee added at checkout. If you're going to pick one of the Marriotts that are right across from each other, pick this one. *Don't* do the Courtyard, that place is gross. Our room here was clean enough, with a full kitchen, which made things really convenient for leftovers. There's a Target right down the street, so make sure to stock up on your snacks and drinks from there. Yes the rooms are a little older, but the bed and couch were super comfy. The only thing that wasn't great was the breakfast. It's pretty rough. When I was there, the bagel toaster was pretty much busted. They ran out of meat or something on Sunday, so instead, the catering trays had triple scrambled eggs. Kinda disappointing. But anyway, overall, a nice-ish stay that shouldn't break the bank with the right deals.

Pay for parking but… no parking? I have a plug-in hybrid so we ended up parking in the Tesla area. (Can’t charge as you need an adapter for J1772.) You really weren’t given an option upon checkin, just “It’s $15 for parking.” Got up early to move my vehicle into an open spot, which was quickly taken by an employee. Makes you wonder how many spots are taken by employees. “Free street parking” or park in a poorly lit public parking lot in a rec area, which they call “complementary”. Gee thanks. Rooms were very nice, almost a bit crowded with a huge hard sectional and desk that I used as a side table. Super quiet area. Nice kitchen.

Positive: Just location Negative: Hotel is old, dirty, rooms with a lot of damage, old furniture, front desk stuff super unfriendly and makes you feel like you came to free and to bother them. Hotel is not renovated for years, swimming pool are extremely old and nothing is updated

Absolutely the best trip! I am so grateful for the exceptional service I received at Residence Inn by Marriott in Glenwood Springs. It made my birthday week stay the ultimate experience. Free breakfast, 24 hour gym and pool were some of the many perks that made this trip so special. The staff there was wonderful and provided everything I needed. Thank you Marriott Bonvoy! 🥰
