Overall lovely with one strange caveat (below); super helpful staff, great breakfast buffet, right across from hot springs, rooms were nice. The caveat; gorgeous original oil paintings depicting Ute peoples throughout the hotel, but descriptions often seemed like they were from last century, no mention of broken treaty's and forced migration, lots of Manifest Destiny themes, using words like "squaw" and "half breed" to describe parts of Ute society (especially the one in the lobby). I really hope they'll change it by the next time I visit, and update to reflect the complicated relationship this resort has with the ancestral lands of the Ute. Overall a very positive experience, and would love to keep coming back to this Lodge

would not recommend staying here. A better option would be to book a more affordable hotel nearby for around $100 and purchase access to the hot springs separately for $36. I paid $279 for the room, which was very small and lacked basic amenities such as a microwave or complimentary bottled water. The hot springs are located across the street and are not part of the hotel itself, which was disappointing given how the property is presented. The photos online make the place look much nicer than it is in reality. Overall, this does not feel like a resort experience. Considering the price, the value does not match expectations. I suggest carefully considering the cost before booking.

This location is out of my imagination. It is so cozily nestled within beautiful embrace of rocky mountains , and the view i got from my room , was worth it 1000 times over i would say. Yes, the view of hot springs straight from my hotel balcony and old charm feel of the hotel with glass wardrobe was really something was pleasantly surprising and fulfilling. Now i have visited many places with my husband , but this was really something we wanted to do from 2016, but ultimately could visit this place with our 4 yrs old daughter. Breakfast and lunch both can be easily done at the pool side (hot springs pool) grill and i would mention here the manager of this grill “Don” , who has been really kind and gracious , whenever we visited the grill and not to mention , he is really hardworking a

This was my first time staying in Colorado and seeing a Hot Springs . It was MAGICAL . at least once you're in it lol. The different temp pools were interesting we tried every single one the cold ones are no joke lol and going back into the hot ones after that make my skin feel like pins and needles but it was kind of nice. It was extremely relaxing and everyone was kind. The location is so perfect because its so close to all the shops and the scenery is INSANE . Our room was nice besides the bed sheets .. there was red stuff all over it .. not sure how they didnt see that putting it on .. I do believe things should be cheaper ... like the food .. for how much that place makes off of people breakfast should be higher quality .. the eggs were very watery .. the cleanliness of the pools w

Positive: Proximity to pool.Great trail-running options nearby.Decent nearby restaurants (esp. Sundae ice cream).Proximity to Amtrak station. Negative: Probably overpriced at $---/ night.Previous guest’s trash (e.g., beer bottles) not removed from balcony before arrival. No (free) fitness center.Weird roundabout walk to access the hot springs.Breakfast at Hot Springs grill was adequate at best.
