Residence Inn by Marriott Daytona Beach Oceanfront

Stayed here for one night while passing through the area. Check-in was quick. Thought it was strange we had to check out pool towels at a hotel, especially when we saw the tattered condition of the towels when they gave them to us. Also, the room keys were just plain white cards, disappointing since I like to collect room keys from all the places I have stayed. The room was nice, looked like the hotel had been remodeled recently, but you could tell the building itself was older. We had a nice balcony, but even though it was a smoke-free property, you could smell cigarette and marijuana smoke every time we went on it. We were very pleased with our stay. All facilities were very clean and well kept. I was very surprised at the full kitchen and it's amenities. The staff was wonderful and always offering assistance. It is located close to grocery store. The breakfast buffet was very complete and suited any type of dietary needs. The only negative was the non communication about the $15 a day parking fee which I found on my credit card once I arrived home.

I have to say I was 100% pleased with every part of our vacation staying at this hotel! We came for my niece’s sweet 16 with our daughter and their two best friends. John, the front desk manager helped me find the perfect room which was a two bedroom suite and even let me send decorations that the staff was happy to put up for us so my niece was surprised when she got here. The room was very clean and comfortable! All the rooms have been newly remodeled. The pool and hot tub were clean and beautiful. The food at the restaurant was very good. The whole staff was pleasant and helpful. It’s a very comfortable environment that makes you feel right at home. They honestly make you feel like family while you’re visiting.

This being my 2nd Christmas since losing my husband, I decided to do a little Staycation for Christmas. I live about an hour north in Palm Coast, FL. The staff could not have been more welcoming. John, Vanessa and Rain at the front desk were 2nd to none and extremely helpful. John and Emily in management were the absolute best. Bartenders extraordinaire Sheila and Donna were so sweet and made some really good drinks. The food at the bar was good as well. I only got to meet one of the housekeeping staff and her name was Dianne. She worked so hard to keep everything sparkling. The breakfast buffet was very good as well. The pull out couch was horrendous. Purely springs with absolutely no cushion. When asked if we could get some extra blankets to pad it, they gave us a single blanket and only one additional pillow. We had 2 full beds, but they were barely willing to provide us with 2 full sets of bedding aside from the sad and dusty excuse for bedding that was tucked away in the closet. Thankfully we weren’t spending much time in the room, but if you’re depending on the pull out couch, find somewhere else because they won’t care. The hot tub was more of a warm tub but it was still nice and very clean! I don’t remember smelling like chlorine, so it might be a salt water pool (not 100% sure on that).
