Remedies Inn

This was the cleanest & prettiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay. Please be mindful of the stairs you have to use to enter the hotel before booking! If stairs are not an issue this place is perfect! The train runs all night but they offer ear plugs and a sound machine. We actually enjoyed the train noises!

Wonderful small hotel in the downtown of a quaint friendly town. Old building (with steep entry stairs) but rooms are classy with kitchenette and nice bathroom. Friendly and accommodating for early check in. Old building flaws are modulated with careful touches. A train does go by at night and toots its horn but the authenticity of the town is part of its charm. Very clean and bed is extremely comfortable!

We had a lovely time staying at the Arbor Suite — the Gilded Age decor with modern conveniences offered a unique and tasteful blend, and the host was very helpful with any questions we had. It was also perfectly centered around the historic charm of downtown Sweetwater, where we got to enjoy local restaurants and antique stores. Highly recommend for anyone looking to step back in time and enjoy a historic treat!

This place is absolutely one of my favorite places that I've ever stayed! Extremely spacious room, beautifully decorated and very kind and responsive host. Food at the Lazy Beagle Restaurant a few doors down was also incredible!!! It's pretty close to train tracks but I'm weird and like the sound of trains passing by, but if you don't they have earplugs on the nightstand. Seems like they thought of everything. I'm already disappointed that I have to leave tomorrow 😕 I'll definitely be back!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND I can't wait to come back!

Excellent place to stay! The room was clean, and the accommodations were good. Sweetwater is a perfect small town. You can tell the owner put her special touch on these rooms. And the price was very fair. Yes, there is a train that comes through at times. But for me this was not a big deal, since the owners obviously have no control over this aspect. And the railway adds to the character of the town. We will be staying again.
