Relax Inn

I lowered my expectations, but not enough. I waited too long to book a room and did not want to pay nearly $200 at the Hampton Inn or $150 at the Comfort Inn in Canton, Mississippi. If this property retailed for a dollar and was discounted by 75%, I'd sleep in a van down by the river. The hotel manager asked if my dog would be sleeping on the bed, as if she would ruin their Egyptian cotton sheets, not. I brought my well-traveled dog blankets, sheets, and pillows to cover the bed out of fear that my dog would get fleas and I would leave with a raging case of scabies. I've been in the travel industry for over 30 years. We rate hotels and cruise lines like cars. Chevy, Buick, Cadillac, and Bentley. It would be an insult to a rusted Yugo to compare this room to it. Stained sheets. Bedspreads heavily stained with huge black cigarette holes throughout. Appliances falling apart. Carpet stained beyond repair. The food smell penetrates your clothing and stays. There were hairs on the folded, "clean" washcloths. Electrical outlets coming out of the wall. This was the most unpleasant hotel experience I have ever had. I could not even sit down. I promptly checked out and found other accommodations. I was disgusted. I had booked through a site with special "unpublished rates." I was booking a 2-star. This hotel isn't even 1/2 star. Very disappointed.

We went there on the way to GA and when we came back 2 weeks later pet friendly and price of pet wasn't that much grateful for that! Thank you Relax inn ya"ll so kind and caring! Definitely will be back

During a family road trip to Louisiana, we stopped at Relax Inn out of desperation when other hotels nearby were sold out. From the start, the experience was awful. The front desk service was poor, and as we headed to our upstairs room (no elevator, not wheelchair accessible), we passed men drinking and making loud noise outside, it felt more like a run-down hostel than a hotel. When we entered the room, it was shocking: everything was dirty, old, and poorly maintained. The bedding looked worn out, with no proper pillows or bedspread. The bathroom was filthy, the towels looked stained, and the fridge and microwave were in disgusting condition. We didn’t even feel safe letting our kids touch the floor.
