La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Canton MS

The rooms at this place are in HORRIBLE condition. In our first room, the toilets had permanent stains and reminded me of gas station toilets. The tubs are peeling. The room smelled of mildew. The base of the wall was pulled away and sticking out (could cause an injury). The refrigerators were dirty with some unidentifiable stuff on the outside of it. Stains on the bed linen and walls. After complaining, the receptionist showed us several other rooms. There was a strange odor that even the receptionist admitted smelling. I pulled the curtain back to find large cracks in the window with blue tape on it and the window was pushed out. It was open!! The other rooms smelled, had cracked walls, dirty walls, dirty linen, stains on the ceiling, all of them had stained toilets and peeling tubs. Th

Positive: There was not much to like about this hotel other than it was close to the interstate. Negative: Unfinished room, soft spots in hallway flooring, wrong # & size of beds we paid for, mold inside one of the picture frames, behind the picture there was a massive amount of mold growing on the wall, strong incense smell throughout the hotel

My suite had no coffee, shower drain was broke and the tub had a leak. No sink in the suite, just bathroom. They provided coffee upon request, but the room did not feel like a suite. It felt partially renovated.

We stayed in room 323. You can tell they are or have tried to fix up the place. The washer And dryer amounts are way too high. It is $3.75 per wash or dry. Mold/mildew was on the window curtain, the window was broken/cracked. The blackout curtains were taped to the wall with blue painters tape. The floors sound weak as if there was water damaged throughout the property and it never got fixed. They sound like they are weak and can not support weight. It was no ice machine on the 3rd floor at all. And the ice machine on the 1st floor was broken.

Avoid this hotel. La Quinta is usually a pretty nice hotel. We stay in them all over the US. This one is rundown and I had to ask for a second room because the whole floor smells like cat pee. Avoid this hotel and stay at the Holiday Inn across the street
