Reid Ridge Lodge

Before we even got to the hotel, the experience was terrible because I called to ask a simple question and the man at the front desk who I believe is the owner jumped down my throat and was yelling at me for no reason. I told him to check his attitude and he seemingly did when I was checking in, but the initial conversation rubbed me the wrong way out the gate. Upon walking into the room, it was outlandishly outdated and had a smell that matched the appearance. The room smelled old and damp, and the bed was so uncomfortable we checked out three hours early and canceled our brunch reservations because we wanted to go home so badly. Extremely nice and helpful workers , hotel was very clean just a little outdated but still was good for price. Would stay there again when visiting family.

Everything looked great upon pulling up to the location. You have to call a number to check in and out, which is weird. Rooms looked neat and clean. The problem happened when I went for a shower the next morning and the shower curtain and the shower head were completely covered in black mold. I literally felt like I should take another shower in a different place after staying here.

We have stayed at this hotel a total of 4 times. A few weeks ago we stayed again. We love the location and the hotel itself is fine. We were scheduled to stay 2 nights and when we arrived we decided to only stay one night. I cancelled the second night with the front desk staff and was told twice that the second nights charge would be refunded within a couple days. No refund ever came. I called the hotel and was told to call back later that day. I did and again was told it should be refunded. It wasn't so I called again and spoke to the owner. He was very rude and hung up on me. I called the next morning and was told they couldn't do anything for me and to call expedia. I booked directly with the hotel so I can't go back through expedia. The owner of this establishment was rude, and his behavior was unpolite. When my friend made a lighthearted comment about the cleanliness of the room, his response was dismissive and disrespectful. He stated, "It's dirty, and I won't give you the room if you're not satisfied. You can leave; I'll refund your money and give the room to someone else." His language was loud and confrontational. Despite the owner's behavior, we chose to remain in the room due to a lack of alternative options as the Hampton Inn was fully booked. While the room itself was clean, the customer service provided was severely lacking. Never again
