Regency Inn & Suites Downey

Needed to visit a friend in the nearby hospital. The owners/staff were so friendly and kind. The rooms, while they are older, they are very clean and spacious. I had a non-smoking room and the room smelled fresh and clean. Everything was neat and well taken care of. Special added touches when they picked up the room. Very good experience. Thank you.

I went there with my family. When we walked in the room, we were surprised it was as big as it was. We liked it there. My boyfriend is the really picky one with location and things like that and he wants to plan a trip just for me and him to book the Jacuzzi room. :) We had a second trip this week, unfortunately, they were all booked, otherwise we'd stay there again. Staff was incredibly friendly! The only thing that was off was the breakfast... It was just cereal, I was expecting like pancakes or waffles but I'm pregnant. I don't think they were only worth 4 stars just because of the breakfast. The rooms were clean, checking in and out was extremely fast. The bathroom was larger than my own at home lol. This place could be GREAT! But it will take some effort from the people who live there! I booked a three (3) day stay with Expedia, and the Indian lady had a hard time finding it! I had to show here the Res. on my phone and she finally gave in!? 🤷🏽‍♂️ The sofa and chair and ottoman were stained and I thought about picking up a can of Glory rug and upholstery cleaner and using it! But the treatment at check-in killed that good jesture on my part! Get a digital clock/radio for every room would be OUTSTANDING! They are only like 10 bucks or get MICROWAVES that have that feature! And get a little stand so the mini-fridge is not on the floor, please. The top-notch iron and ironing board is a sign that you care --- go all the way! Arrived at the property and checked in. The front office staff were so friendly and expedited my check in. Placed my card for the deposit and got my room key. Got to my room and was surprised how big it is. So much room. The furniture is outdated but spacious nonetheless. It is almost the size of a studio. It’s very quiet and no sound from neighboring rooms. You are able to choose from smoking and non-smoking. There’s plenty of parking so no need to worry about that. There’s a liquor store a stone throw away too. Overall a decent hotel for the price with excellent service from the staff.
