Redwood RV Park

Our stay at Redwood RV Park was awesome! From the moment we got there, Judy, the camp host, made us feel right at home with her warm welcome. She even hooked us up with some homemade kerosene fire starters, which wroked great for the campfires we had. They also sell firewood bundles, so we were set for s’mores and more. Before we even hit the hay on the first night, we knew we wanted to stay longer. The travel trailer we rented was spotless and felt like home for my wife and kids. I camped out in a tent with our dog, and despite being a light sleeper, I slept great because the park quiets down by 9-10pm and there's hardly any road noise. Based on other reviews, this RV park sounded exactly like what I was looking for to spend a week along the coast in Northern California. We are from Texas and had been on the road for 70 days when we reached this RV park. Pros: It was perfect. For me. Old school. Basic. No frills. Huge spots. Laundry can be done at the RV park next door. Low key. Good water pressure & voltage on the pole. Don’t let the entrance fool you. Go on in and check it out. Prior to our arrival I spoke to the park host (Judy) and described what I wanted. She recommended a certain spot and it did not disappoint. Judy is 79 years old runs a tight ship. Judy, the camp host, is one of the most personable hosts we have had in our experience RVing. The sites are plenty big enough. It is right off of the river with a great little dock. There is also a Frisbee golf course. It has little paved roads around the park that are great for little ones to ride bikes and scooters.

Had a bathroom emergency, hosts allowed us to use the bathroom & shower. Host was empathetic & considerate. It was a blessing that with 100s of miles ahead of us, I was able to minimize the "damage" (so to speak) of the "emergent" bathroom issue (pun intended) but there was more! A week later, the same lady host walked down to the bathroom to see if she could locate a lost item (prescription bottle that had been in my pocket)...WHILE we were on the phone with her & before I could even ask. She was almost to the bathroom before we even knew she had already started to fulfill our request -- now THAT is customer service to someone she knew was not a paying member.
