Red Wing Motel

We had an unplanned couple nights in Manitou Springs last Summer due to some car issues and were looking for something affordable and safe since we had not budgeted for the extra time in CO. Red Wing was that and more. The owner is delightful and the location was walking distance to Garden of the Gods and right next to the free bus that takes you into downtown Manitou Springs. This was way cheaper than an Air-Bnb for the size and location. We had a 5 star "budget" experience would be glad to stay there again!

The cleanest, cutest, prettiest motel I’ve ever stayed at. Susie the owner has been so helpful to my husband and me while we search for a home to buy. Her staff is amazing and friendly and the quiet location can’t be beat. The bed is very comfortable, the rooms are spacious and decorated with great love. Don’t look any further because this motel is special.

This little motel is so loved by their owners/managment. Everything was SO clean. The grounds were clean - our room was spotless. You can tell a lot of detail went into decorating each room. The bed was so comfortable. The water pressure was amazing!!! Definitely a hidden gem - glad we stayed!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! I stayed here recently with a friend of mine who was visiting from out of town. The room smelled like cigarettes, the bed was lumpy and my friend woke up with a sore back after not getting any sleep from how uncomfortable the bed was, the AC didn't work, and there were ants everywhere. My friend tried to have the owner/manager Susie switch rooms but she was very dismissive so we tried asking for a refund to stay somewhere else and she refused, was very rude, got very loud, and was SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! We left for dinner and came back and it was obvious the suitcase had been rifled through & half of my friends pain meds were missing. She had a 2 week supply until next refill and she only had about 5 days worth left!!!!! We questioned Susie if she had been in th

The lady that runs this place is a horrible person. I strongly advise you to find another place to stay. The room also had ants. Expect your luggage to be rummaged through by the same nosiey lady. My friends room did not have a "do not disturb" sign for the door (I am posting for a friend). She left and found a much better room with a better price and location.
