Red Roof Inn Myrtle Beach Hotel - Market Commons

From the moment we arrived in Myrtle Beach, our stay at Red Roof Inn felt easy and comfortable. The location couldn’t be better; just a short 10 minute walk to the beach, with lots of parking and great amenities. Being pet-friendly made it even more special for us, since we travel with our small senior dog. Our second floor room overlooking the pool was clean, spacious, and surprisingly peaceful. Our toddler settled in right away and felt at home, which made our trip even more relaxing. And I personally loved that the TV had HBO, it was the perfect excuse for a Harry Potter marathon in the evenings. The front desk service was excellent—Wanda was extremely kind, cheerful, and very accommodating with my requests. She even wished us safe travels as we left, which was a lovely touch. Our room was very clean with a great layout. I was happy to pay a few extra dollars to have a microwave and fridge—just be sure to check when booking, as not all rooms include these amenities. The hotel is dog-friendly, with a convenient pet relief area, which we really appreciated. The location is also great—not on the beach, but right on Kings Highway, making it easy to get everywhere. Off-season rates were also very reasonable. Overall, a wonderful stay. I would absolutely return!

The room floors needed to be cleaned better for new patrons. The water pressure was low, I had to keep flushing the toilet. Also, an issue with hot water

The hotel was a dump upon arrival. The tiny front desk area had a nasty smell. Heading to our room, there was no air conditioning in the halls and there was a new nasty smell. The beds were made and the bedding did seem clean. The floors were disgusting, the tub was rusty and the bathroom counter was not cleaned. We stayed for 4 days and our room was "cleaned" once. We had to go to the front desk to get towels. When we complained at the front desk about our room not being cleaned they told us that they do not have daily housekeeping. REALLY??? One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.

The hotel could use some upgrades, but it was a nice stay. Heidi was very sweet and helpful, however the overnight man was far from friendly and the odor coming off of him was like something dead. Why is this person working in a public place smelling like this? When we come back to Myrtle Beach and he is working, we will not stay. This is so disrespectful to the guests.
