Red Roof Inn Marion, IN

The room I stayed in was clean. Quiet. Had some misunderstanding about the room charge, but the lovely man at the desk fixed it right away. They have a deposit rate, which is returned to you at check out. I don't blame them, it keeps certain crowds away. Room included refrigerator, microwave and a small coffee maker, including a few packs of coffee and some cups. Bed isn't so bad. Towels were clean. A good selection of TV channels. AC and heat. Shower was pretty good, nice pressure. I'll definitely come back if over this way. Highly recommend. Be thankful for this place, you could be stuck at the hotel down the street. Scary place.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Red Roof Inn in Marion, Indiana. During my stay, several basic amenities did not work. The toilet barely functioned and required multiple flushes, the hair dryer did not work, and the refrigerator and freezer were completely nonfunctional. Because of this, our perishable food and ice cream spoiled and had to be thrown away. The most upsetting part was how management handled my deposit. The manager kept my $100 deposit and stated there were food stains on the sheets, but also admitted there was no actual damage. Food stains can be washed, and this does not justify keeping a guest’s deposit. When I calmly tried to ask questions and request proof, I was dismissed and ignored. My wife and I travel quite a bit for business and pleasure. We have booked rooms with various chains at various price levels. When traveling with our dogs I usually look to Red Roof Inns because they have been accommodating. As long as the room is clean and the bed comfortable, we are good to go. For a family reunion in Indiana, I booked two rooms at this location (one deluxe king and one superior). Upon arrival, we took both dogs into the lobby to declare their presence. The male at the front desk was less than professional. I provided my name and he looked up the reservation. He immediately snapped the reservation did not include the dogs. I stayed in this hotel as a student completing my residency at IWU. Staff was polite and quick. The location was convenient for all necessay travels while in Marion Indiana. I even forgot my cell phone in the hotel and when I contacted the Hotel, I spoke with Praful. They were understanding and assuring that they would take care of my accident leaving my phone. If I ever end up in marion indiana again, I would trust that this team would take care of me as i would take care of a patient in a hospital.
