Red Roof Inn Gulf Shores

Thank you Mike for your accommodations at your hotel. Staying here regularly I have always enjoyed my stay. Rooms clean updated and roomy. Laid back atmosphere set back off the beach 5 minutes to Gulf Shores beach. Nice swimming pool area. Always greeted with fresh towels. Great staff service as usual like family. Thank you. Always will be coming back

Positive: The staff was friendly and accommodating. When I booked online, I was assigned an upstairs room. When I checked in, the lady noticed that I was using a cane and changed me to a downstairs room. Negative: They can't make beds for crap. As soon as I sat on the bed, the fitted sheet came untucked.

This is a very nice hotel and so close to the beach. For the money this is a good deal. We have stayed several times and never have an issue. They are super good to our Rottweiler who travels with us. Most people are scared of him but they are so sweet to him. Plus it’s free for him to stay. This is a great location and very clean rooms but no extras like coffee in the rooms or the little sample bottles. They do this so they can offer such great rates so close to the beach. You can get to the beach from there in less than 5 mins

The location is great. Was expecting continental breakfast. The sign for it over the coffee pot was covered with a sheet of paper. No continental breakfast! Speaking of coffee- no coffee until 7am. The front desk is lazy. And the maid service is too. They only bring fresh towels and empty trash. The floors were dirty when we arrived and the place has local workers staying there. As we were leaving early in the morning there was a lady on the second floor in a chair sleeping. I tend to think she was drunk or high because before we left she was dry heaving. The place is mismanaged and not worth it. Spend the extra $10 and get a different place to stay.

Mike and the staff makes it a great place to stay every time that the dogs and I stay here. As a matter of fact there's a handful or more people that comes in the office season to enjoy the area and the peace and quiet along with the overwhelming friendly attitudes of the staff.
