Red Lodge KOA Journey

I tent camped here on 6/18/2025. Camped next to a small brook on soft grass. The shower & restroom facility was extremely clean. People there were very friendly. They recommended a great place for dinner (Fosters) and a great place for breakfast (Red Lodge Cafe).

We called and booked a last minute tenting site for July 21 on our motorcycle trip. We hit unexpected road closure, so I called back and said we couldn’t make it to the campsite that evening. I was told by the woman that 48 hours cancellation was required to not be charged the $50. I explained that wasn’t possible because we had only booked the site an hour earlier. Tough luck was the basic reply, so we camped elsewhere and was charged $50 for a 1 hour reservation. |I was told when I first called that there were plenty of spaces left, so I clearly didn’t cause someone else to lose a reservation. Taking advantage of our misfortune and charging my card regardless. |Is your policy is that set in stone that you are unwilling to bend to help people out. |I’ve stayed at 20+ of your sites in the

Very well kept KOA near Red Lodge (10 Mins), Beartooth Highway (25 mins) and NE entrance to Yellowstone (1hr 45min). People working there are super nice. Sites are level with full hookups. Can accommodate any size vehicle. Has a large dog park, laundry and rest rooms, plus a jump pad for kids and bikes to rent/use. The Road in front (hwy 212) is extremely loud. If you would Like a quieter stay, request a site that is behind the office building (site number 22 or higher)

LOVED this place. The owners are really on it! They are friendly, accommodating, and give attention to details. Best KOA I have ever stayed at. There is a creek that runs through the property, they have a nice, clean dog park, and the grounds are perfect. Great place to stay for base camp to hit the Bear Tooth Highway for the day.

Located just outside the town of Red Lodge, and about 20 minutes from the Beartooth Highway this KOA has everything. Clean grounds and facilities. Tent to RV camping with multiple hook up options as well as cabin rentals. Wonderful laundry facilities and store and exceptionally friendly staff and owners. Would highly recommend.
