Basin Campground

Camped here the last week and it was great. The hosts were extremely helpful and very nice. The whole campsite was well maintained, including the bathrooms. Not too far from town but far enough to not have service and be secluded. Plenty of trails and exploring to do and multiple marked firewood areas within walking distance of the campsite. Even though I'm from Colorado and it's a trip to get out there, I would definitely return!

The campground was clean, the hosts were friendly, and we had a great site. My only issue was how loud our neighbors generator was. I know you are allowed to run them during certain hours but running them for hours on end and when we can hear it inside our camper with the windows closed, that is just wrong. I really wish the forest service would enforce stricter rules.

Ronda and John were amazing campground hosts. My boyfriend and I had our popup camper break down. Ronda was extremely helpful and even went as far as cutting down the support we needed to keep the camper up for the night. She also provided the name and contacted a gentleman (Josey) to come the next day to fix it. John came to our campsite daily to check on us. They are both kind and went over the top to help us. We planned on staying 5 nights and stayed 10 nights! We love it at Basin campground!

My camping experience here was delightful. The hosts were exceptionally polite and maintained a spotless campground. I would certainly return. Watch out for the bathrooms; there is a concrete ledge that one might trip over at night.

Only 9 miles from Red Lodge. Loads of kids having a blast on their bikes. Quick access to trailhead. Level spots with easy access for our Class C.
