Yodeler Motel

Always stay here and it’s usually great, but this time not so much. No staff in the office at open hours and no hot water to the rooms. When checking in last night they made me pay twice for the room saying it would refund the other card, did not refund. They won’t call back despite leaving messages and no one is coming to the office with the emergency button. Sitting here waiting trying to shower and no response or assistance.

Cutest motel I have ever stayed at! The owner was so helpful and hospitable.. ambiance with the fire burning in the office just set this off for me. Very comfortable beds and the rooms were warm and full of charm. I wish we could have stayed longer but we were just passing thru. I would recommend this to anyone!

The Yodeler is a quaint, historic motel on the main drag of Red Lodge, Montana (on the end of the drag, but still walkable). The rooms all feature front and back doors (the locks/keys were a bit difficult to open). The old room was furnished ok, but could use a little more TLC. The bathroom, while we didn't use it, has an in-room steam sauna! The bathroom also included Beeman products (shampoo, conditioner and body gel, but no lotion or face/hand soap). This was old time awesomeness and we wish we were staying longer. The check in was very nice and accommodating, and the lobby has a coffee machine. The Wi-Fi was really bad and I didn't spend much time on the Internet because of it (but we weren't on this trip for me to work). Out back in parking (we parked our bike right outside our door),

Comfy beds in clean rooms, but you get charged twice. Toilet was leaking, and we didn’t have hot water. Atleast the heat never got above 61, and we couldn’t get ahold of anyone at the front desk.

Aug 2025. Old ski motel. It was clean, but smelled musty, old 1970’s furniture, owner was nice, great location. We stayed here to get up early to get on Bear Tooth Highway to NE entrance of Yellowstone. Great town to start your trip. Probably wouldn’t stay here again for the expensive price with the old smell. The door to go out on your balcony was swelled and could barely open. They had a flood on the bottom floors that are now being repaired.
