Red Lion Inn & Suites Caseyville

Location was great. Right off the freeway. No one was in the office to check us in. Called the phone number left on the office window. The lady who checked us in was nice. Once checked in we had one room on 1st floor and one on the second floor. We found the hallways, stairs and elevator were dirty, not vacuumed and fairly dark. Once we were in the rooms we thought everything would be better. One room the tv didn’t work, the other the toilet wouldn’t flush. The rooms were not cleaned. Floors were not mopped. The whole hotel smell was awful. No breakfast as advertised. I could go on but won’t. We will never stay here again. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone. This definitely is not a 4.2 star hotel. Very under staffed.

COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE. Please please please do not stay here let alone bring your family into this place. You are better off sleeping in your car. Place stinks like musty smoke and walls are falling apart. Tried to get full refund for the 3 days I booked. He stated I was in the room for over 15 minutes and that violates refund policy. I wish there was ways to let people like myself who didn’t check reviews beforehand know. Now I know lessons have been learned.

The rooms are larger then the standard size room for the price. Conveniently off the highway and the metro bus stop. Fast food and gas station located in the area and walkable if the city include stop light for cross walking. Perfect!!!!

When I first came in process online said it was 84.95. The owner told me come to him next time and it will be that price but this time it’ll be 140.00. I am not from here so I paid it knowing because the owner said he would give me 50 dollars back in the morning. So as I walk through the Hal way I instantly smelled smoke. But it was suppose to be a non smoking. I get into my room I look around first thing I notice was the lamp didn’t work. Tried to use the restroom and it look like poop stains on the toilet or something I don’t know I didn’t use the bathroom. AT ALL. Then they didn’t leave ANY TOWELS but one face towel and a rectangular towel on the tub but when I picked it up a baby roach fell from it. I couldn’t shower.
