Red Lion Hotel Templin's on the River

The hotel was clean, the lobby is lovely with all the upgrades and right near the River that feeds into Lake CDA. The coffee pot in the lobby was not refilled after it ran out and I don't believe it's not too much to ask for 24/7 coffee in the lobby. They don't have coffee pots in the hotel rooms, what a bummer. Staff were friendly and helpful. The banquet room is long and narrow. A nice addition would be to add TV's in the middle section and back area with a camera on the stage, so that people sitting at the tables can see the band on a TV screen and feel more included.

Positive: Love staying there! Negative: the outside door had a BIG gap in it so the room was COLD even tho we tried to use pillows to use up agaist the door to stop the cold air coming in, it froze the pillows! other then that it was nice

Lobby was up to date. Took about 15 mins to be noticed by staff to check in. There is a $75 deposit per room that we were not aware of plus fees to use pool and towels etc that we were aware of. Rooms were outdated. The heater in our room kept switching off and upon inspection the outlet it was plugged into was broken and in my opinion dangerous.the chain lock onnthe door was bent so it kept popping off. There was mildew in the bathrooms and what looked to be a bad paint job over top of it.our bathroom heat light switch was broken. The mirror closet in our 2nd room had a Crack in it so we were scared to move it. The internet did not work whatsoever in either room. Our first stay at this hotel and pleasantly surprised. We were attending the grand opening of an online fabric store in Post Falls, and I wanted to explore this town rather than stay in Spokane or CDL Resort. I joined Travel Pass so they upgraded us to a Riverview room. Pet friendly. On site restaurant was extraordinary in foor presentation. View of marina, but very few boats this time of year. The WiFi did not work, but the new access points are being configured now. The hotel is remodeled and really nice inside. The river side needs some new paint. The Tesla chargers work, not the other regular one. But there are many 120V receptacles outside so I plugged in overnight like I do at home. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms are not as nice as they seem in the pictures. Lobby and restaurant look modern, rooms are not, extremely dated. Also, this hotel recently started charging a $5.95 cent per day tourism fee/resort fee that is not disclosed when booking your reservation in the Sonesta application. It’s fine if you want to have a fee, but the business should be honest and disclose your pricing.
