Clean. Basic. Difficult entry and if you miss it…add 10 minutes to get another try. Fortress front desk, all enclosed, that looks scary and non-friendly. Staff, no smiles, no verbal welcome…a man of no words. Other than that, it worked out to our overnight stay.

At Monmouth, NJ the location is far from everything. If you rent or have a car there would be no issue then. But to grab UBER to New Brunswick train station (9.5 miles) will cost $18-35 depends on traffic/weather. 1- Not welcoming: there is a warning inside the washroom (picture attached) if you misuse the towel there Will be charge. Red carpet needs to put a picture in the washroom instead of a warning. 2-The breakfast is nothing to write home about: Ehite bread/bagel and one inch orange juice at the bottom of the dispenser jar, coffee, banana, cream cheese, Cheerios cereal. Really cheap. 3,- Outside the premises during the storm and days after the storm, there will be ice as they don't clear or salt around the entrance to make it safer. Location, location, location. This is right off the highway, immediately next to a merge onto the highway. High stress to arrive or leave the location. The room is clean enough, nothing too bad. No microwave in the room, and no mini fridge. The phone in room is technically present, but the cable is not. And, we had the lovely experience of having a person who was sitting outside of our room when we arrived. We were then 'locked' in our room while she proceeded to scream at staff and police for a good 30 minutes. Its been an interesting time so far, we will see how the breakfast looks in the morning. Very horrible customer service. Lady at night was so rude. I check in at 11pm August 22 and checked out 20 minutes later because of the room had previous tenant dirt and food crumbs. Upon opening the bathroom door turning the light on 3 cockroaches spread and ran across the room. I got a picture of one showed the lady there. She just says what you want another room? No I want a refund as I will not stay in a room with active sightings of cock roaches. Previous tenant crumbs and dirt. Since then between this motel and booking.com they are trying very hard not to refund. They have one more week before alternative measures take place.
