Motel 6 New Brunswick, NJ

Probably the most disgusting place i ever stayed at. The reviewer that said the pictures look nothing like in person was right. Terrible customer service, barely spoke english. Room was filthy, stunk and was dilapidated. Buttons on heater were worn so someone took upon them themselves to put masking tape over them and write "ON" and OFF" . Missing pieces of tile on floor. Bathroom was gross. Someone rang the fire alarm at 4:30am and woke everyone up. Other tenants looked sketch. When i left i saw 3 cop cars pull up.

During my stay at this Motel 6, there was no hot water. Calls to the front desk went unanswered, and the desk was unattended for about 45 minutes. When the agent finally arrived, she said the hotel had been without hot water for over a week and apologized for not disclosing this upfront, but refused any refund or compensation. When I raised the issue, the response became defensive, and I was directed to a small fine print notice posted among many others behind the desk, implying guests were expected to notice it. Hot water is a basic lodging requirement in New Jersey, especially in winter, and issues of this magnitude should be clearly disclosed before booking. Unacceptable service and management.

Positive: Nothing Negative: When booked the site said it had a kitchenette. It did not. I was told I would get a refrigerator since I was going to be there for 5 days. I did not. Working nights and sleeping during the day,I barely slept at all with all the noise. Asked for DND-nope.

A friend and I stayed here two nights as it was convenient to the attractions we wanted to visit in the area. This motel is a little tough to get to, and it shares property with another motel. The outside looked a bit run down. The beds were comfortable, but the floor was a bit dirty. The baseboard around the tub had fallen off. Other guests were yelling and cursing loudly at 5:00 A.M. I had to call the front desk. He wasn't that helpful. I doubt I'll stay here again.

The staff here that worked the morning was very disrespectful. We had gotten in the room really late one day and ended up over sleeping and she came to the door demanded we pay or leave when it wasn’t even checkout time. She was banging on the door every 30 seconds telling us to leave basically harassing us. We ended up getting a ride there and didn’t have a vehicle she told us leave and not to come back and threatened to call the police every 5 seconds. I do not recommend staying here. There was only 2 people I met there that has great customer service which is the one man and lady that work the late nights there. They promote kitchens but don’t have them don’t even have a fridge or microwave in the room which was very inconvenient
