Rapid City RV Park & Campground

We still have a few days left on our stay, but we have been here a month now. The sites aren’t huge, but just about all of the upper ones are pull through. The lower ones are tent sites, cabins and it looks like less than full hook ups. The office is a little store with some essentials and some souvenir stuff. Maintenance guy and desk staff have been friendly and helpful. Cleaning girls are nice as well. There are a few restroom buildings, the one near me has 4 sinks, 4 showers, a few toilets and a couple urinals. These are cleaned daily and mostly updated. There is a seasonal pool, laundry ($2.50 wash $2.25 to dry) a game room, and a couple hotel rooms. The location is great, on a fairly busy road, but don’t notice the noise. Well maintained facilities and eager to serve you! Absolutely beautiful lookout with sofa, chairs and table. Quiet place to relax! The only negative is the RV sites are grey rocks with tar mixed to hold the rocks down (I assume.) we stepped in tar several times and had to clean shoes and floor of RV. I would recommend you checking them out! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!!

A Welcoming Stay with Promising Upgrades! We stayed at Rapid City RV Park & Campground this summer and had a truly enjoyable experience. The park is under new ownership, and it’s clear that the owners and staff are committed to making meaningful improvements. Their hospitality stood out—they were friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in creating a great environment for guests. The location is convenient for exploring Rapid City and the surrounding Black Hills, and the atmosphere at the campground was relaxed and welcoming. Traveling with our Standard Poodles, we appreciated the pet-friendly vibe and the open spaces that made it easy to settle in and feel at home. I was camping in a tent from Sept. 25-29 and I had a fabulous stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the bathrooms and showers were clean and convenient to access from where I was tenting. The view from my campsite overlooking the valley was stunning and I even got to see some deer in the area. Here's the view from my campsite. The location of the park was in a perfect spot to be able to easily get to the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, and other tourist attractions. I highly recommend staying here.

We had a good stay. Our TV did not work due to a missing power cord and they were not able to fix the issue ( they did refund us a portion of the cost for the TV). Our picnic table, front step and cabin floor were all in poor condition. The bathroom facilities was always clean, didn't have hot water for 4 of the 5 days that we were there. There was no place to sit or clothes hook to hang / set your stuff on except the sink counter or the floor. Staff was always pleasant/courteous. The location was ideal for our stay. There was not much parking room for a large pickup.
