Ranch Campground

We arrived at Horsetheif Gulch Campground just after noon on a Saturday (May 2021) and quickly grabbed the first open site we found; we were pulling a 22ft travel trailer. A walk around later confirmed we made the right decision, as the place was full. The section we camped in had no hook-ups. The lower, first section has electric hook-ups. There is water available, but not to hook up to. There is a dump station across the road from the campground. We noticed a couple camp-spots opened up later in the day (check out time is a suggestion, not strictly enforced on the weekend we were visiting.) We loved our space #18. Beautiful group camping area, very close to water and hiking. Plenty to explore here if you don't want to fish with the family. Short distance aways is a Meadows area and lots of farm open farm land. The dirt road to the North takes you all the way through the narrow mountain roads and to the 93 highway. Long drive, but worth the scenery.

Wonderful place to camp! Beautiful lake to fish in. Who could ask for more? 😁

Has power now.. community showers and flushable toilets! They even added a sevuce to pay for wifi! Great when you have to work on vacation!

We stayed over the Memorial Day weekend. The campground was full when we arrived, which was surprising since we arrived Thursday morning before the weekend. We were lucky that a spot opened up about an hour after we arrived. The spot was large enough for 2 smaller campers and had power both 30 and 50 amp service. There was water available at some of the spots so getting water was a simple walk to fill water jugs for cooking and washing dishes. The bathrooms were very clean and the shower rooms were large with rain shower heads. It was great to clean up the kids after long days of playing at the lake fishing and climbing the mountains behind our camping spot.
