Rainbow Mountain Resort

My other half and l used to go every summer usually on an extended holiday weekend. We also went one or two New Years Eves and it was always amazing. The last time we went was a few years ago when management changed hands. Got there bed not made sheets stained and bathroom not cleaned. That's nothing when we went to the dining room we thought we were going to have a great dinner. Now no reservation necessary and we thought why. It didn't take us to long to figure. Empty dinning room and the food was disgusting. Three choices for dinner only and the pasta sauce tasted something like prego from a jar. The great staff that was there were all gone. Hands down l would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Could not have been much worse, which is I guess a badge of honor? We used to love Rainbow Mountain because it’s the only place in the area like it. In fact, we have stayed many times. This time, we recommended it to my old college friend and his partner. All four of us (without really discussing it much) stayed exactly one night and forfeited the second night in order to escape back to the comfort and cleanliness of our own homes. It’s a shame. My partner and I drove separately from Brooklyn. Staff are always so kind and the runaround between them and management feels scripted and never really brings satisfaction (which creates the default we experienced of just leaving.) This place is a scam and the photos are false advertising. The pool is full of green water and garbage. No one is in the office to help and phone calls go unanswered. And once they have your credit card , they’ll make unauthorized charges to your card for service not received. I cancelled my reservation when I saw the conditions and they still charged my credit card for 3 days. I didn’t stay at all.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon for a whole week because it was affordable and the pictures on the website looked beautiful and it said that it came with a continental breakfast, it also had a restaurant with a bar which our whole stay all that was closed besides the pool so it’s false advertisement.Check in time was 4pm to 7pm we arrived at 5pm and went to the lobby to check in, there were no lights on and no sign of anyone. We walked around to find someone but it was an absolute ghost town, as you would see in a horror movie. At the lobby there was a phone number to call outside the building to check in, so I called at least 20 times and no one picked up. DO NOT STAY HERE! I’ve never been catfished until I checked into the Rainbow Mountain Resort, but guess there’s a first time for everything. The pictures of the interior of the cabin on the website don’t align with the disgusting reality of this “resort”. The bathroom was the size of an envelope, dirty with spiders as roommates. As we tried to adjust to the shock of how dirty and run down the room was, we pulled back the blanket on each bed to find they didn’t have mattress protectors, or a fitted sheet. Just a super thin flat sheet, with visible blood stains on both mattresses! We checked out immediately, and were promised a refund. Surprise, surprise, it’s almost 2 weeks later, no refund and no response to my calls or emails.
