Quality Inn Waterbury East

Staff truly was disgusting, unprofessional and very rude. Basically told me that someone committed suicide at the hotel. The room was tacky, they gave no instructions for anything, barely had towels in the room. Housekeeping started coming down the hallway at 8am, very noisily. They spoke no English. The place was more of a cheap motel and shouldn't be a part of the "Choice group".

I stayed at the Quality Inn Waterbury East with a friend of mine for one night. We were looking for a cheap, bare bones hotel, which was promised by the other reviewers. I'll relay our positive experiences first: We checked in late, around 9:30pm, and had to wait a few minutes for the front desk employee to come back from a break, but the employee was kind and got us checked in quickly. We had requested a room on the second floor and we were given one. We were able to check out using the phone instead of going to the front desk which made our morning a lot smoother. Other reviews mentioned suspicious characters lurking outside of the hotel, but we didn't notice anything. It seemed to be a safe area. For the negatives: The comforter and blanket on both beds were riddled with stains. The

The outside of the hotel needs to be renovated, painted and the sidewalks need to be steam cleaned. The rooms needed more amenities like a chain lock on the door, larger TV, hook on the bathroom door, not a metal framed bed. AND there were people outside of their rooms, going up and down the sidewalks running and screaming and laughing until 130 in the morning and nobody on your staff did anything about it. So consequently, I will not be staying there again and I will tell everyone that I know not to bother.

Room smelled awful but couldn't switch since I was told they were booked solid. I had to go to Walmart to buy Febreeze just to survive. The air conditioner worked good, but blew out the smell of cigarettes. So I could swaet or die of cigarette smoke. The walls had grime on them and what appeared to be a smeared booger on the bathroom wall. The pillows were the worst ever if you can call them pillows. They were pillow cases stuffed and rolled into a ball. Also, the clientele or whoever the people were outside at all hours of the night didn't leave us feeling safe or able to sleep well. Door to room didn't shut well and had gaps so the sound of the highway came right in. No matter how cheap this place is, pay more and stay elsewhere.
