Courtyard by Marriott Waterbury Downtown

The place is good and convenient, clean. The receptionist during night shift needs to be trained in proper customer service. The room was at 65 degrees in a -1 Fahrenheit degree weather. We called the hotel operator they asked us to try to manually increase it ( we later found out they operate this remotely ) they have a set temperature and won’t go up or down. Only thing was the nice morning front desk receptionist (forgot his name Hispanic I believe) he is very nice and serviceable. I think the only good person I encountered during my visit and why I have more that 1 star. However I would never consider the Marriott to stay in. Do not recommend.

Enjoyed my stay here. Shay made sure my stay was accommodating and comfortable. Jayden is such a helpful and kind young man, and the young lady at the cafe (I believe she’s the supervisor) was also great. Lovely staff, lovely stay.

If I could leave 100 stars I would!! I was there this past weekend and was very stressed and had to take care of some less than happy issues. The bright spot in my time in CT was this hotel! I had to extend my stay and the front desk staff made it easy and asked if I needed anything every time they saw me because they knew I was having a rough time. The gentleman that ran the parking garage gate was AMAZING. So sweet and friendly and had great recommendations for local spots. The hotel was clean, the food was really good (ordered room service breakfast) and the staff was 5-stars luxury hotel level. The location is very accessible and close to freeways. If you’re looking for a hotel in the area stay here!!!!

This was an ok place.  Very nice staff.  But the room was iffy.  The toilet was about 24inches high…..too low for seniors.  Beds were pretty nice.  The TV was the worst ever….virtually no channels at all.  No sports, no networks, no nothing.  I would not choose this again just on the TV.

The entire staff on site were extremely friendly and welcoming. Especially the front desk staff. We did get breakfast at their bistro and there, too, we encountered very friendly and accommodating staff members. We definitely recommend this hotel when in the area. Attached to the hotel is a parking garage with very reasonable rates. Well worth the stay.
