Quality Inn Tucson Downtown near Convention Center

This place was awful, don't stay here. We came in the before the gem show. Parking is bad, gem show tents everywhere. We had to leave $100 deposit plus our room to stay, we did get it back as we left cash. The hot water never came on in the bathroom sink and the shower barely ran warm then turned to icy cold halfway through my shower. There were a pair of dirty socks in the room. There was no smoke detector in the room, just the wiring where one should have been. When we reported this to the manager she denied all of it, blamed it on us,saying it was our fault. We didn't know how to use the water faucet. The room was clean and she"d get a smoke detector in the room today. Yeah, right.

It was the worst hotel experience of my life. I arrived in the gross hotel room looking around I quickly freaked out a little bit. Then decided I just wouldn’t touch anything. Everything was stained smelled bad. I pulled back the comforter and the sheets were gross and stained I walked out to the front desk and asked for a clean flat sheet. She said she couldn’t provide one for me but could assure me the room was clean… I luckily had a small blanket I brought inside and only laid on that small surface my blanket covered. Fast forward to about 3 in the morning a noise woke me up the person in one room over was banging on the wall like trying to break through. It was super scary and I felt very unsafe. I tried calling the front desk but no one answered I just made sure the bar was in the doo

If i could give this hotel no stars, I WOULD! As i was checking out and tried to go get my deposit back, they claimed my room smelt like marijuana. ABSOLUTELY NOT! I don’t smoke and Im a traveler in which i only i use choice hotels and I NEVER have any issues like this because i dont smoke! I will be contacting the cooperate office because I firmly believe this hotel was just trying to keep my $100 deposit. Don’t stay here if you are expecting your money back

Positive: The Young lady that checked us in was great. So many people were checking in at the time but she smiled took her time and checked everyone in. Room served our purpose for a one night stay but could not stay longer. Price was good. Negative: Only one person for check in. The hotel is very old. Carpets though out need Marjorie cleaning or replacement. Nothing worked, ice machine, pool was broken and needed to be drained and covered over if not to be used. Everything was very old and stained.

Had a reservation here for last night after an 11-hour drive from Sweetwater TX. Drove up and thought we had made a mistake because we couldn't actually find the hotel at first - due to some sort of gem & mineral show with tents surrounding the hotel, cars parked everywhere, and a LOT of homeless hanging around (nothing against homeless). Didn't look like the Quality Inns we have experienced before. The place looked so run down that we decided to continue driving all the way to San Diego (another 6 hours), rather than stay here. I'm going to request a refund because the place looked nothing like the pictures online and feel fooled.
