Quality Inn & Suites Prestonsburg next to Mountain Arts Center

Gross. Booked on accident thinking it was the hotel we usually stay at when visiting the area. Unfortunately it was next door. Will definitely not make that mistake again. Dead bedbug in the drawer and my daughter woke up with several bites. Water pressure was great but the water was luke warm at best. For over a hundred dollars per night I would have been satisfied with a clean room and a hot shower. We got neither. Holiday weekend and everywhere else had been booked by the time I realized my mistake or there's no way I would have allowed my kids to sleep here. Front desk staff were polite but did not seem surprised about the bugs or offer another room. Choice Hotels said once you check in, there's nothing they can do to help. This was room 225. The staff were amazing with what they had to work with in this hotel. Our room was atrocious. The curtains were falling off the rods and weren’t able to close all the way. I used a pants hanger to close them for the evening. Our door wouldn’t lock with the deadbolt, it had to be lifted up to get it to partially lock. Breakfast was good and the young man making it was running himself ragged trying to keep up with the demand of a sold out property!

I hate giving bad reviews but the quality of this Quality Inn was lacking. We reserved non-smoking and got smoking, to the point that I could smell smoke through my CPAP for a week. There were burn holes in our sheets and couch, a huge tear in the couch, paint coming off the walls, etc. No way we stay again unless they renovate. @management we couldn't be moved as we arrived after a show in Pikeville and looking at other pics, the other rooms are similar. Don't make excuses, clean the place up!

Everything was excellent. Comfortable, clean, quiet, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again

Positive: Breakfast Negative: Four out of five hotels we stayed at have replaced carpet with wood floors. Everything smells so much better
