Quality Inn Shenandoah Valley

Positive: "" Negative: The lady at front desk was very rude. She needs not to work in the public. The room was not the cleanest and the beds where hard. Heater would not shut off needs to be fixed.

The only nice thing was the lady at the front desk. We ended up in a handicap room. The room smelled dirty and musty. The carpet was stained and some type of vent was hanging from the ceiling by the interior door. The mattress was not big enough for the frame and my husband had to watch not to get a foot or leg caught in it. The towels didn't even smell clean. The lady at the front desk offered us a better rate if we were to stay our last 3 nights there. When we checked back, there was someone else at the desk. I explained to him about the room and what I could understand of his English, he had a different room on the back of the hotel and assured us the room would be nicer. The whole entire hotel just felt dirty. The carpet was wet presumably from the air conditioner, but I don’t know that for certain. There were tons of random scuffs, stains, and nicks in the walls and ceiling. The TV stand had a suspicious collection of what appeared to a bodily fluid of the sexual source. The inner bedsheets appeared clean, but there were stains on the coverlet. The shower had a left over sticky residue in the base as well as mold in and around it. The only good thing by about this stay was connivence to the interstate. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz Carlton, but a clean place where I wasn’t worried about being exposed to who knows what would’ve been nice.

Not new construction, but very nicely cared for and maintained hotel. The staff were universally welcoming and helpful, the lobby is very nice with a game room, lovely breakfast room and lounge area. The room was clean, well maintained, well appointed and odor free. Just a very short stroll to multiple restaurants, public park and historical sights, etc.

I can't speak for all the rooms, but 102 was good. No noises, everything was clean, the temperature in the room was perfect and the shower was warm. I had no complaints and usually have the eyes of a hawk whenever I'm at hotels.
