Quality Inn Cromwell - Middletown

Fine enough hotel for a warm bed. But, the smell on the 3rd Floor was off-putting, the stains on the lobby furniture and hallway carpets were…gross, my neighbors in 306 were extremely noisy throughout the night, and the most inconvenient was the out-of-order elevator. Carrying 4 bags up stairs wasn’t fun. But, the staff is more than nice, the price was beyond reasonable, the parking lot was well lit and safe, and its location to the freeway was ideal. I’d stay again if they fixed the elevator, and deep cleaned the public-facing parts.

Bedding was DISGUSTING! Had urine, feces, and what appeared to be old blood stains. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! Staff were nonchalant about it! Was switched to a different room and that rooms bedding wasn’t great either. The shower was awkwardly built with the shower head being built in the ceiling and spraying every direction and wetting the floor. Tile was very old and scuffed up as well. Also, the elevator was out of service. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever visited. Do not waste your money.

My room was nasty. No power to the heater in the room and was refused to be moved and told I had to wait until the next day (only booked for one night and at least 70% of rooms were open) for someone to come look at the heater. It took almost 20 of arguing in the middle of the night (while freezing) with the desk to move me…and we had 7 of the 15 rooms booked…the rest of the hotel was empty. Absolutely trash here and will never return. Don’t waist your time or money on this dump because they do not care. It take a LOT for me to leave a bad review and this is the worst place I have ever been. Mold and all everywhere.

The price was cheap. The linens and bathroom was clean, but the room smelled like cigarettes and the overall feel was a little dated and used. Great for an overnight at a soccer tournament, but the cigarette smell was the worst part. ROOM 315.

I have been using this hotel on and off for over forty years. There have been changes in ownership and brand several times, yet I always find the staff welcoming and friendly, the rooms relatively large and always clean and comfortable, although sometimes showing wear.|My only complaint is that the breakfast is really low grade and basic. I’ll be back.
