Quality Inn Charleston - West Ashley

I am appalled at how disgusting this place was and how I was treated. I came in late last night just to have a place to sleep for a few hours. The front desk man was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. I checked into a room that was very unclean. I understand this place is on the cheaper side, but that does not mean you have to sleep in disgusting conditions. I’ll be attaching photos. The beds were soiled in dirt and stains. I asked to change rooms and the man at the front desk was dismissive even with photo/video proof. He asked me to take him to the room I was staying in and show him where it was dirty. That is so insanely inappropriate as a man and for a female solo traveler. Especially at 5 am. I was very uncomfortable, but felt I had no choice but to be followed into my room by h

Positive: Honestly I can’t think of anything. They’re not the cheapest around and I think it’s very run down for ---$ a night. Negative: Weird sketchy ppl talking to themselves around the area. I went to Waffle House at night and some weirdo kept asking me for a ride after I kept telling him no. That almost turned into something else but thankful for him it didn’t. Sketchy place for family

Staff is great! Not having working phones in the rooms is a major Life Safety issue. Also, quite a few of the rooms don’t hace toilet paper spindles, which is an easy fix. They are usually $1ea and can be purchased from the Dollar Store a few blocks down the street. The spreads and comforters are not very clean, along with the pillows. Long overdue for replacement. Very very clean with the tools that this hard working team is provided with, I completely understand that ownership concerns are to make money while spending as little as possible to improve room conditions. I love this property for the location and staff, and plan all my future trips to stay here. I just wish owners would do better I highly recommend this hotel due to the dedication and hard work of housekeeping team!

It's in a good location for me, but the room itself was not what I've come to expect from Quality Inn. For one thing it's very, very noisy! The room is in desperate need of some attention. The walls need cleaning and painting. The bathroom door needs to be just thrown out and replaced. The toilet is very small. The seat is obviously from a different toilet as it doesn't fit. The top of the toilet tank is clearly from a full sized toilet as it is about a foot too big for this tiny one. But the best thing was when the door lock fell off.

I've been here before and NEVER had a problem. However, this time it was HORRIBLE the bed in the room was very uncomfortable and old, the lock on the door is broken...it's a severe bedbug infestation DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!! It's unlikely you will get a good room it's like playing Russian roulette. Roaches and bedbugs I got bit all over spent over $300 just to be treated poorly..I reported it less than a hour of being there the guy was very rude telling me to check out immediately but he can't give me any $$ back nor switch me to another room 😭😭😭
