Primitive Campsite #5

This was a great campsite away from everything, especially any worries of covid. The site is pretty flat with a lot of tree cover. There is also a stream right next to the site to get water if you are planning on filtering or boiling your water. You do need to reserve a spot by completing an application through the DNR. It is completely contactless and all done through email. There is a path that runs right next to the site, which got our dogs barking every once in a while. We had about 10 people go down the trail, mostly on bikes and they are only visible for a couple of seconds. This was really only a problem when about to use a cat hole or changing in the open. Very relaxing place not many people here and lots of nature and birds. There is a trail intersection. Great place to watch to stars ⭐✨ 🌌

Very pleased with sight, lots of wood around for a fire. Large tents can be set up here.

My new favorite campsite in this state forest. Lots of trees spaced just right to hang hammocks.
