Deer Run Camping Resort

We stayed in one of the cozy cabins for the 1st ever Christmas weekend on 12/18–12/21/25. The cabin was heated, we had a comfy bed, and we managed to stay warm even though it was super cold & windy, (we brought a small electric heater.) Bathrooms were heated, a short walk away, but the kind staff at Deer Run brought us all complementary golf carts to use! We decorated the cabin with festive Christmas lights, (prizes were awarded,) had fun & played bingo and other games with our camper friends. Then everyone shared in a Christmas pot luck. The kind, amazing staff treated us to festive Christmas music with Drew Cook and a few beverages to go with the holiday theme. We all enjoyed our stay together this weekend despite the cold temps! We moved our group of six campers to Deer Run this year for Halloween Weekend, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience! We loved having our campsites directly across from each other—it made everything more convenient and fun. Our site was spacious and fit our camper perfectly. We really appreciated the quiet, less congested atmosphere of the campground. One of the best parts was that golf carts and cars weren’t allowed to drive around during trick-or-treating—it made the event feel much safer and more enjoyable for everyone. The amenities were a big hit with our group! We spent time on the pickleball court, shuffleboard, and basketball court. Do not go there when the owner and/or his family are there. I understand that they own the campground but to come in and show the amount of arrogance, ignorate behavior and entitlement that the kids and adults show....unbelievable. They do not obey any of the rules that paying customers have to, have kids under 12 years old, driving campground golf carts, they take over the pool like no one else is in there. If you want the campground for your family only, close it down and make it private. My campground weekend was ruined after seeing this and was told to not say anything because they are the owners family. ||I chose this campground because I have heard good things about it. We have friends that stay at the campground every year and this was our first year joining them. We absolutely loved our wooded lot! Everything was super clean. We enjoyed a chili and apple pie cookout during our stay as well as the band that played during that time. All the staff we interacted with were wonderful and responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend for your next camping trip!

We stayed at Deer Run Camping Resort for a Halloween weekend. We had the best time! We enjoyed the trick or treating and spooky bingo. The sites were nice and the bathrooms were modern and clean. The best part... the friendly staff! We can't wait to stay here again.
