Presque Isle's Huron Shore Motel

Obviously this type of motel isn't the Ritz. However, what can make or break a place is cleanliness. As you can see in the photos there are some serious issues with the standards of this place.|Gotta question how often the bathroom floor is cleaned when you see an ant mound next to the toilet. That circle looking thing in the carpet is wet carpet. Something is leaking under the carpet to create it. The shower is the worst. The walls are in bad shape and the handle for the shower is a cobbled job. Water never really got hot. The carpet was filthy. Black stains and greasy looking.

This Motel should NEVER have 5 stars. I have gone to this motel for 10 years when I go to Rogers City to visit family. It used to be very clean & now is disgusting. There is black mold on the ceiling,blinds,curtins & walls. The carpet is so dirty & black, it stinks from cigarettes & filth. I stayed there Christmas Eve & was supposed to stay Christmas night, but I couldn"t sleep the night before because of the smell & knowing I was in diplorable ghetto conditions. It was too late to get another motel, so I stayed. The next day I made arrangements to stay at Driftwood. I DO NOT recommend anyone to stay there. I took pictures of how nasty the room was & assumed all the rooms are in the same conditions. I have recommended this motel in the past, but the current owners obviously have run it do

Called and spoke directly with owner... needed a room for the night. Asked several at a gas station about hotel and was told it was a great value. It is obvious that Micheal is renovating this much older motel at his own pace. Know this... the rooms were very clean and sanitized,. Our host was very helpful when needing ice or local info. Motorcycle friendly facility. This place is a Great Bargin and value! We will stop there again soon.

It was late, rainy and very dark when we arrived and we were unfamiliar with the area. We took a chance and stopped in. The owner was very friendly and chatty. I love that. Our room was reasonably priced, very clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the 3 of us slept well. I love a good pillow. The only suggestion I would have would be to replace the shower head. It was a little difficult to rinse my hair. Other than that, we do plan on staying again on our next trip.

This is a family-owned motel, and their meticulous care of the facility shows in every feature. The room they assigned to me was super-quiet, and had an unusually robust selection of furniture, making it feel much larger than it actually is. I was delighted with reception and check-out, and would love to visit this motel and its owners again! I recommend this motel to anyone staying in the Rogers City/Presque Isle area!
