Driftwood Motel

Stayed here several times over the years and this was the worst I've ever seen it be... dirty wash cloth hanging over the shower..glob if hair in the corner of the bathroom and in the shower... cobwebs all over.. never once did we have our sheets changed or new towels unless we asked. I'm a firm believer that if someone gets a room they should automatically get clean towels, garbage emptied, etc.. without asking n if you don't want service because your not there then you should let them know. I took out my own trash out 2x. They have continental breakfast... cereal, oatmeal, a few muffins and make your own waffles. Definitely wasn't impressed. Best thing about this place is the view.

Room was nice but there was a cough drop in the corner of the room and a spider on the balcony door that I wouldnt go out of. Also had a stain on the comforter. Beautiful and short walk to a beautiful beach. Would maybe stay again due to the great location.

The staff was friendly and the location has beach access. Lot of hot water. The facility has not been updated for 50 years (Carpet, wall coverings, draperies, and bed spreads appear to be original, etc. Towels were small, but newer and clean.) Free, paved parking is outside the motel room. Breakfast was cereal, yogurt and a single waffle iron. We didn't try the indoor pool.

Needs updating but the location is great and you can see Lake Huron. There’s a trail to the lake. Pool and hot tub area also need updated but were nice to have.

This is my favorite motel to stay at in Michigan. You just can’t beat the location, the views, the beach smell and breezes. Staff are all super friendly. Pool area nice and clean. While we were there I had to pool and hot tub to myself. There are not many rooms here, so does not feel crowded. To sum it up a quaint motel in a small clean quiet town, with amazing views!!
