Port Townsend Inn

This is an old, independently owned, low cost motel, with some quirks inherent to that. However, it was very clean for this level of lodging choices! 👏 The only "dirty" looking thing I saw was an accumulation of dust on the bathroom window blinds. There was zero discoloration to white disinfecting wipes on any of the high-touch surfaces, and those are the actually important areas! Good job! The cleaning staff was also very kind when interacted with. Plus, the shower water pressure was phenomenal! My only real complaint for the price was that there weren't any hooks to hang bath towels on after a shower. There is only a metal tower, or whatever the name is for those concentric metal rings on the wall in many hotels/motels. So the only option for a multi-night stay is to drape your wet

I would definitely not choose to stay here again, and would upgrade to something more than $200/night, which is about what we paid. Just a basic motel, super thin bath towels and only two provided, sheets and bed coverings old and worn, only one chair to sit in, super small shower stall, and I'm not a big person. The location is fine as it's a bit less than a mile walk into town, but the main road doesn't have any pedestrian crosswalks until you get closer to town, so walk with caution. It's a car town. On a positive not, the housekeeping staff were very accommodating when we asked for more towels.

Positive: Location to my event Negative: The pool and hot tub were drained and there was no notification about it online. That was one of the main reasons for booking that particular hotel.

If you miss the last ferry... Take a breath, check in at the Port Townsend Inn. Got here at 9 pm in the pouring rain with a Great Pyrenees and cat in tow. There was a bad accident on the highway into PT that stopped traffic for an hour. Got the last pet-friendly room. The inn is just perfect for a weary traveler. Quiet location up on the hill, nice older building that's been well maintained, friendly staff. Impeccably clean rooms with mini fridge & microwave and a Safeway just down the road. Not a "Five Star Hotel" in the hospitality industry sense, but 5 stars for actual hospitality and comfort when you need it. And affordable!

Pretty cool they left my key in my room unlocked because I was late checking in. And let me settle up the next day. Rooms were clean & in good shape. Conveniently close to the mill. Price is average for the area but high in my opinion.
