Pony Express Motel

I was really looking forward to our stay at Pony Express Event Park, but it ended up being a letdown. The water in the bathrooms was cold both times I tried to use it, and when I brought it up, the staff insisted it was hot when they checked — which felt dismissive and gaslighting rather than helpful. The woman who checked me in was rude, and that same attitude continued when I mentioned the water issue. The WiFi also didn’t work during our stay, which added to the frustration. When I brought up these concerns, I wasn’t asking for a discount — but I was told I already had the cheapest rate and nothing could be done. That response was really disappointing and showed a lack of care for guest experience. Would not recommend based on this visit.

We enjoyed our three days using this motel for our base. It made getting into the Park much easier and I think much cheeper than if we stayed in the Park itself. The room was rented for a little under $100 per night, was comfortable, very clean (thank you very much housekeeping), and the staff were very good at their jobs. ||The hotel looks like it was built in the 1960's but you can see renovations like new carpet,and bathrooms with new accessories.||My wife and I would gladly stay there again.

This place is old but well maintained. Quiet, clean, close to everything. It has old world charm. Best price in town too.

I am amazed at the two reviews so far for this place. We stayed a night in the hotel and a night in the RV park. The night we stayed in the hotel we were sharing one room with friends without an RV so it was as cheap to split the cost of the room as to pay separately for an RV site. As an RV site I thought it was great! It has full hookups, a wash room with showers, and a laundry mat area. I didn't have a cable to hook up our RV to their cable system so I cannot speak to that other than the fact that they had that as a choice. But it was all that we needed and more. As a hotel room it was simple and adequate. We don't stay in West Yellowstone for any reason other than to see Yellowstone; so of COURSE we are busy elsewhere all day long. I don't need a nice grassy site for my RV or a

The Inn charges $100 for a room #16 where the ceiling is falling down, electrical outlets are coming out of the wall, no ac but a fan to cool off an 80 degree room, box TV, stained carpeting, and doors that are not very secure with direct access to the street. When I told them about the ceilings and outlets they didn't care to move us, nonchalantly said oh we will tell maintenance. I get it is a resort town but this is safety issues it wasn't 1 outlet it was 3 of them. For $100 a person should at least be able to expect a room that is normally $50 Motel 7 type. Please note they are affiliated with Branding Iron hotel and Pony Express RV park, btw it charges $3 per load of laundry.
